Executive Search/Recruiting Services: For some time the GEA newsletter – at no fee – has listed member company position vacancies. As a result, some positions have been filled and the GEA will continue this service.

However, there have been many situations where vacancies go unfilled for months resulting in significant lost opportunity costs and time consuming, expensive recruiting efforts on the part of these companies.

Therefore, as a result of member feedback and need, effective immediately the GEA is partnering with The Focus Group to offer – at a discounted fee for member companies – an Executive Search/Recruiting Service. The Focus Group has 35 years of executive search and recruiting experience. This service will assist member companies in filling executive, managerial, supervisory, and technical professional positions such as engineers, accountants, etc.

The process has two [2] essential components – with several initiatives within each – but will be tailored to each company’s needs and the nature of the open position.

• Defining the Required Position Competencies and Developing the Position Specifications:
o Reviewing relevant company literature
o Interviewing the hiring manager and others who have an understanding of the required competencies in order to complete a job analysis questionnaire
o Developing and/or modifying a job description and position specification document
o Conducting a pre-search conference to verify the position requirements and other relevant information such as salary, benefits, relocation policy, recruitment timeline, etc.

• Executing Several Sourcing Initiatives to Locate Qualified Candidates, Present Candidates to the Client Company, and Assist in Placing a Qualified Candidate within the Company:
o Developing a search plan to include the research steps to be used and identification of target sources
o Identifying and evaluating qualified candidates via research, networking, telephone screening, and conducting in-depth interviews
o Conducting reference checks
o Presenting qualified candidates with individual search reports to the client organization
o Scheduling interviews within the client company
o Assisting in the negotiation and closing the offer
o Maintaining post-hire contact with the client company regarding the new employee’s performance

Please contact the GEA to discuss this new service and determine how a tailored contingency or exclusive search can satisfy your specific recruiting needs.
