The Georgia Employers’ Association (GEA) is expanding their training and communications programs for Georgia businesses with the addition of two new business associates. Debra Ballard will enhance the association’s educational and training efforts as a facilitator for GEA-sponsored management and leadership workshops for business leaders around the state. Song Nguyen has joined the association as Business Coordinator and will be actively involved with GEA’s efforts to support the Georgia business community.
“We’re enthusiastic about the addition of additional training capabilities that Debra and her company can provide,” stated GEA Executive Director Mike McCurdy. “We’re increasing our focus on management and HR-related workshops in the metro area, and Debra will provide expertise in several areas that will benefit Georgia businesses.”
“Song Nguyen is an enthusiastic addition to our staff,” continued McCurdy. “She will be ramping up our digital communications efforts and engaging with members and others in the Georgia business community who are interested in the wide range of training, consulting, and legal services that GEA offers. Our association is a valuable resource for business leaders, and Song will help us to get the message out about the areas of support that GEA provides.”
According to David Whitaker, Director Emeritus of the association, the additions confirm the positive direction that Georgia Employers’ Association is taking. “For some time we’ve wanted to increase our support for businesses in Atlanta, Augusta, and North Georgia with workshops that are easily accessible. Adding Debra Ballard as a facilitator enables that expansion. Song Nguyen is a bright and exceptional young woman who’ll focus on new ways we can communicate with members and others. It will be exciting to see the results from her efforts.”
